Have you received your test results only to have more questions about your result, what it means, or what to do about it? From our new Participant Resources page, you can access information to answer all of the top questions we have received about any of the measurements offered by GrassrootsHealth.  Check it out!

From the Participant Resources page you will find links to additional resource pages for each of the tests offered as part of the GrassrootsHealth D*action project, containing information such as “How to interpret your result, common questions, and next steps to take,” “How to read your results” with screenshots of the charts and tables used to present your data, and a description of the target or reference range and how to help improve your level.

There are also answers for questions such as what to do if a level is too low or too high compared to what may have been expected, how to choose the best supplements and/or foods to help improve levels, what to look for if there are concerns of toxicity, when to re-test, and what signs, symptoms or health concerns might be related to that measurement. You can also see the levels of other participants charted at the bottom of each results resource page.

How Can You Use this Information for YOUR Health?

Having and maintaining healthy vitamin D and other nutrient levels can help improve your health now and for your future. Measuring is the only way to make sure you are getting enough!

STEP 1 Order your at-home blood spot test kit to measure vitamin D and other nutrients of concern to you, such as omega-3s, magnesium, essential and toxic elements (zinc, copper, selenium, lead, cadmium, mercury); include hsCRP as a marker of inflammation or HbA1c for blood sugar health

STEP 2 Answer the online questionnaire as part of the GrassrootsHealth study

STEP 3 Using our educational materials and tools (such as our dose calculators), assess your results to determine if you are in your desired target range or if actions should be taken to get there

STEP 4 After 3-6 months of implementing your changes, re-test to see if you have achieved your target level(s)
